I have the 5 1/2" SS Redhawk in .45LC. It does not have the factory dovetail ring mounts. Are there any clamp-on Weaver mounts available? Would they stand up to moderate cast bullet loads for hunting? thanks

I would not use one. The barrel clamp will cut grooves in the barrel from the thing whipping. That flex is transferred to the scope too. I tried to stop the barrel damage by putting thick brass shim stock inside the clamp and recoil just cut the stuff.
Get a Weigands base and get it drilled and tapped. This is no place for cheap!
