stubntno-drill scope mount for Redhawk ?
I have the 5 1/2" SS Redhawk in .45LC. It does not have the factory dovetail ring mounts. Are there any clamp-on Weaver mounts available? Would they stand up to moderate cast bullet loads for hunting? thanks

bfrshooterI would not use one. The barrel clamp will cut grooves in the barrel from the thing whipping. That flex is transferred to the scope too. I tried to stop the barrel damage by putting thick brass shim stock inside the clamp and recoil just cut the stuff.
Get a Weigands base and get it drilled and tapped. This is no place for cheap!
