I have a 41 that my father gave me and I'd really like to put a low powered Leupold or Burris scope on it. Does anyone sell a scope mount like the one that Freedom Arms and MOA use. This one? Here's a dual dove tail Leupold. A bit better.

You need to decide whether or not you are open to drilling and tapping the top strap of your revolver. That second photo is of a Weaver no drill, no tap unit. I am fine with it, I just don't know what is better. I'd prefer a really good looking mount like Freedom Arms uses. But I haven't seen one for a Blackhawk.

I tried a no drill mount on my 41mag Blackhawk and I couldn't keep it on target. Every time I used it I had to adjust the scope first. I drilled and tapped the top strap and installed a Wiegand mount and have had no issues at all. Dennis Life member NRA

I get it, but there really isn't much aesthetically pleasing about having a scope on a revolver IMHO! "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Semper Fidelis "Building Carpal Tunnel one round at a time"

I get you, just trying to do my best with what I need it to do. Iron sights and my eyesight are not friends.

I don't do so well with irons anymore either, to be honest. That's why I use red dots so extensively. Just have trouble warming up to scopes and their loooooong eye relief. Buying a Ruger Hunter model in either the Super Blackhawk or the Redhawk solves this whole problem. I use both and the scope mounting method just works. Outside of that the Leupold seems to be about the best as far as reliability and looks goes.

This is a pistol that was a gift from my Father. I'd like to hunt with it. I know I can buy a new wheel gun that was built to shoot a scope and make life easier.

I have had the Leupold mount and the 2X EER scope on a couple of SBH's over the years. Very solid. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I am sure there is a smith or machine shop than can alter the FA mount to fit a Ruger revolver for a small fee.

Millett used to make a scope mount for Blackhawks; you had to remove the rear sight and have the receiver tapped. I got one, planning to put it on my .41 Mag Blackhawk, but never got around to it, so is still in the package, not doing anything. sputster
