Redhawk1I am glad to see that also. I don't think handgun hunter actually know the true power and usefulness of the 480 Ruger.
I would love to see Ruger come out with a 5 shot in the Blackhawk.

WhitworthMe too -- they should have offered the .480 in a SA platform from the start. I certainly would have bought one. It doesn't help that they chose such mediocre loadings initially.

Doesn't fit in a "normal" length cylinder, requiring a really big frame as well. Believe me when I say that th .480 loaded with 400+ bullets is a killing machine.

boom stickWith all the extra meat on the 5 shot cylinder I wonder if it is worth shortening down the 475 Turnbull brass to shoot a mini 475 Turnbull

Shoot Turnbull bullets to boot!
Hey Doug... do you want your own wheelgun cart too?
Already have headstamped brass! Use the same reamer and dies although a new reamer is best to get the rim cut as well.

WhitworthCuz there's already a .475 Linebaugh that fits in a conventionally sized wheelgun, and it ain't lackin' nothin'!

Redhawk1I agree with Whitworth here, no need reinventing the wheel.
