This is one of t last of the forged "Knicker" style knives that came out of the Hubertus Co warehouse inventory from Solingen, Germany. I bought about a half dozen of these many years ago and this the last one that have on hand. This particular knife has the most knarled figured Stag of they bunch.

A German Nicker, also known as a Jagdnicker or Jagdknicker, is a traditional German hunting knife primarily used to finish off wounded game. Specifically, it's designed for a quick, decisive cut to the neck or spine of an animal to end its suffering. Knicker style knives were also for Small game and were traditionally carried slipped into a Hunter's boot or Lederhosen .

The knife is 7.25" " long with a 3.1" blade. The blade is drop forged from 52-100 Ball bearing steel and full flat ground with wicked sharp edge. It is hafted in beautifully fitted and polished Genuine Stag with Sterling silver trim with a engravable silver butt cap.

It comes complete with very well done form fitting (nice and snug) Leather sheath again with Silver trim.
