I have a .357 Sig barrel in addition to the .40 S&W barrel for my G27 (this is a Glock barrel and not an aftermarket). From what I can see after comparing the way rounds sit in both chambers it seems to me that the .357 Sig is not an "unsupported" chamber like the .40. Am I correct or just seeing things? See Reloading for a Glock below Thanks Dennis

Dennis, take the bbls. out, drop a round in & you can see for yourself. I only have a G17 which is supported. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

I've seen some side by side pictures showing the same thing. Apparently the bottlenecked 357Sig can work with a shorter steeper feed ramp. This in effect moves the feed ramp back and eliminates (or greatly reduces) the unsupported area of the chamber. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Thanks for the replies. fredj338: I did as you suggested before I made this post and the different way the rounds set in the chamber is what caused me to ask this question. The .357 Sig definitely appears to have a fully supported chamber. CDH: I was thinking the exact same thing when I made this post (bottleneck round). Thanks to both of you, the info you gave me was identical to my observations. At least I know that if I am wrong there at least two other people wrong also . Have a good one Dennis
