Well today at the Range we tested some more Accurate data 73 but not 79. My cousin was shooting ragged one holers ( 50 yds.) with his 22-250 and .257 Roberts. Using near max loads (judgement call) with Mag. primers he was getting much cleaner burning than I on the whole: .223, 55gr. Mid South Varmint Nightmare ,LC-02 cases. Crimped, wsr primer---24gr. acc 73--- slightly flat primers, 3024 to 3074 fps. 4 shot 3/8" group 5 shot 1/2" group at 50 yds. Rather clean burning. .243, 95gr HPBT Berger seconds, wlr primers, RP virgin cases, ----35gr. acc73----OAL= 2.918", Mild, very DIRTY, 2853 to 2978 fps. 3 shot 1/2" group 50 yds. Needs more powder and Mag. primer IMHO. .243, 100gr. sp, Mid South, wlr primer, RP virgin cases, 35gr. ---acc. 73--- OAL= 2.820", DIRTY,mild, 2829 to 2877 fps. 5 shot 3/4" group. The acc73 seems accurate enough but it is dirty as indicated by these slightly reduced loads. I hope someone finds this stuff usefull. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!!
