| I've used 62.0 grains H4831 in W-W brass with a Nosler Balistic tip 130 grains since the BT's came out. You'll most likely need a drop tube of some kind to get the 62.0 grains in the case. Outstanding accruacy and great performance on elk and deer. For a Moose I would look to the 140 grain Accubond or maybe a Barnes for better penetration. Good Luck. |

| I don't know about moose, but have always had good luck with H-4831 and 130 or 150 grain bullets for deer. For something the size of a Moose, I would err on the side of heavy, tough bullets such as the 150 or 160 Nosler Partition. Whatever you choose, H-4831SC is the powder I would start with.

| Just put togther the 1st hand loads for my new to me FN 270. I did the 130 grain Hornady flatt base over the Oconner load of 60 grs of H-4831, with Federal match primers and winchester brass. I will not be able to shoot it till I have a hole drilled and taped and mount a scope. its a simply beautifull 1952 Supreem ...tj3006
