I have an h&r ultra 25-06 with a 26 inch barrel. The gun was given to me by my father who didnt use it anymore. It should be fun to tinker with and hopefully will shoot decent. I want to use it for groundhogs with the 75 grain v-max, I have RL 15, H414, H4350,and H4831. I have found load data for the v-max with all of these powders that i have and was wondering which would be the best powder to start with?

Don't go mild. I have found the best loads in 25-06 with the 75 V-Max are at the top. H4350 is the best of your powders. N-160 is also spectacular. Velocity from my 24" barrel is over 3700 fps with outstanding accuracy. Try to seat the bullet close to the lands.
