tried the 180 coated balistic silvertip with rl25.would someone with the quickload run these for pressure please?26 inch bbl. new rem. brass fed 210 gm primers 180 gr ctbst and RL25.
93 gr. 3246 fps
94 gr. 3263 fps
95 gr. 3303 fps
96 gr. 3392 fps
97 gr. 3436 fps
98 gr. 3477 fps
the hornady manual lists 95.3 gr. at 3300 fps as max. and with the 180 sierra i started getting pressure signs at 3350 but with the lubalox coating on the ctbst i still havent got any pressure signs at 3477. does the quickload give different pressures for coated bullets?any help would be appreciated.those are 3 shot avgerages looking for the max load.will try to find a good shooting load in the 95.5 to 97 gr. range tomorrow.

Quickload shows loads for moly coated bullets so I used 180gr balistic tips with moly coating!
Reloader 25
93grs-51103 psi 3133fps
94grs-53020 psi 3168fps
95grs-55012 psi 3202fps
96grs-57083 psi 3237fps
97grs-59238 psi 3271fps
98grs-61479 psi 3305fps
99grs-63812 psi 3339fps
I don't have any data for the 180C/T bullet but I'm sure it isn't a moly coating they use so I'm not sure how accurate this imformation will be.

thanx wayne, the ct bullets have what they call lubalox coating.the only moly bullets i have used are the bergers and you can rub it off,the lubalox wont come off more lke hard black paint.shot the gun 18 times with no trace of coppr left behind.but from the higher velocities the pressure is probably a little higher.it looks like around 3400 would give about 65000 with this bullet and powder.96.5 and 3400 if it will shoot would be nice.
