I am new to reloading and am curious to know if anyone has used bullets in their .300 Win Mag with a high ballistic coeffecient. I was on Midway and found these 2 brands. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=915881 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/productview?s...id=223473&t=11082005 I am considering trying them out as I want to start doing some long range practice for my jackrabbit shooting trip next year. Most of the shots we take are between 100 and 300 yards but we are presented with shots waaaaay out there, as far as the eye can see, quite frequently. I am thinking a heavier, high BC bullet, might work better at bucking the wind out to 500 yards or so, than say a load with the 125 Nosler Ballistic Tips I already bought for the same purpose. We also gets shots at Coyotes pretty frequently also. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

I have no experience with either bullet, but either would probably do fine. The Hornady is a relatively new product, so you may not find much information on it. If you want a hunting bullet, look at the 200 grain Nosler Accubond. It's b.c. is .588, IIRC. LWD
