Well, I have a problem, I never would have thought that I could get a double rifle built quicker than the primers I need for it would become available. I have the 500 grain hornady bullets, brass and the powder, I have been unable to find Federal 215 primers ANYWHERE!!! I have Winchester magnum primers, does anyone here have any experience using them in 470 NE loads sucesfully or do I realy need the unobtainable Federal 215 primers??? Thanks, Jamie NRA Life DRSS Searcy 470 NE The poster formerly known as Uglystick

you may see hangfires .. i was converted to federals for any charge over 90 grains .. my 500 jeffe would give hangfires with WLRM.. but not at 110 (due to load density) .. no problems with 215s opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? I agree with jeffeoso on this one. Weatherby chose Fed 215 for the 378 because all other primers were erratic with lighter less dense charges. I use Fed 215 in my 375 H&H period. I am not a Federal fan, but swear by the 215 Magnum primers. PA Bear Hunter, NRA Benefactor
