Try boring a hole for a bearing to fit into in 90 degree temp and then have to assemble it in 60 degree temp. You need to calibrate the tool at the temp it will be used.
We set the ring gauge out and let it come up to ambient temp then measured it noted the difference between the gauge's stated size and it's actual size at that temp. then cut accordingly
