Does anyone have or know where I can find reloading data for the barnes bullet 180 gr for the 300 short mag. I've been surfing the net and its seems to be a guarded secret.
Thanks for the help.

TSX - First try at range

Just got back from the range with my first (3 round) ladder loads for the Barnes .308 150 gr(BT) & 168 gr(BT) TSX's in my 300 WSM.

150 gr BT Barnes TSX (Seated to 2.860 COL)

65.0 grains H4350 = 3 shot 100 yd. group .310"

168 gr BT Barnes TSX (Seated 2.860 COL)

61.0 grains H4350 = 3 shot 100 yd. group .360"

Be advised - this was in my Savage Model 10 Tactical and may differ in your rifle. 62.0 grains H4350 with the 168 started to stiffen bolt lift. When I retry these two loads - I will try to get some velocity data - if my chrono still works!

Copper deposits still present , but more tolerable than with the 150 & 165 XLC's I previously tried and found to shoot terrible! Penetration was completely through an 11" Bridge timber backstop (in front of dirt bank). Could not verify pass through on the 8" railroad tie which just happened to be behind the bridge timber on some of the shots.

Cobia79, for which powders do you need data? I only have info for the X and XLC, not the TSX, but if what I have will help I will be glad to post it.

I have lots of reloading data from Barnes. If you would like, I will give it to you. But, you can get it from Barnes ,by calling them, and asking for a ballistician. Then ask he/she for what you want. That's what I did.
