Can you fire-form 300 Weatherby brass from 300 H&H cases? Maybe this stretches the 300 H&H cases too much?

Yes you can! When I got my 300 Wby in the early 1960's Wby ammunition was around $1.00 each. I got hold of a few boxes of 300 H&H, and as Jeff said---BANG---instant reloadable case! I did find the H&H cases had less room in them so the powder charge had to be lowered. I also found the H&H rounds gave quite respectable accuracy even when fired in the larger chamber.
