Hello there. I normally only neck size my cartridges in .338 Lapua, i only fire fire ten in one rifle and so far i have not experienced andy resistance while chambering the only neck sized rounds. A guy at the range told me that neck sizing is only recommended for caliber .30 and below. Does anyone have some useful information about this topic. Is it hurtful for the rifle to use neck sized only cartridges?
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." (Attributed to George Orwell).
I neck size 8mm, 35 and 45 cal bottleneck rifle cartridges, they work fine with no problems. After firing enough full power loads I may have to FL resize to get the case to chamber freely, then it's back to neck sizing only. I have never read this 30 cal or below limit on NSizing, sounds like BS to me.
