Dropped by Sportsman's here in town to check on some bullets. My jaw dropped when I saw how well stocked the shelves were. Lots of primers too. I had to take some pics with the phone....

Albuquerque primers were high (37.95/1000) as compared to Grafs (140.00/5000) but Grafs is out of stock... I was amazed and hope it's a sign of good things to come (large supply, dropping prices)

I appreciate it when someone reports good news about component availability. I, and others, do not appreciate it when someone wants to buy excessive supplies when they become available. That is, partially at least, if not wholly, what caused the shortages to begin with, along with corresponding price increases. That, and hoarding? Pretty selfish!

I was in our Sportman's Warehouse here in CO Springs today and had I taken a picture, they would basically look like mirror images of each other! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

As i have been saying for 6-8 months - Carters in Houston has NO TROUBLE with primers, and in fact, have at least 100k 205, and other small rifle, on the shelf every day .. I walking in tuesday afternoon and has to CHOOSE which small pistol mag primers I wanted .. and of course went with 200M the ONLY primer that they don't have, on and and over following, is 215/215M - due to gummit contracts. Since AUGUST, hollywood, the 4th largest city in the country, largest in texas, has had stocked primers and 223 and 22LR and pistol ammo. Wow!!! Is that Heaven? Is that what Heaven looks like? LOL just kidding. It is a nice picture though. I am in a rural area of PA and our local sporting goods stores have maintained inventory fairly well since the big "O" got elected. They have run out of certain primers at times and some just seem to never be in stock anywhere anymore, i.e. CCI-200, but substitutes were always available, such as WLR, Rem, or Fed. Certain brass is hard to find as it is hard to find most everywhere, i.e. 7 RUM, but I think this is due to the manufacturers more than anything else. Does anyone know what the deal is with CCI primers? Is ATK doing away with the line? PA Bear Hunter, NRA Benefactor

The Sportsmens in SLC are a pretty fair imitation of the lead picture in this thread. Once again, they are adequately stocked on most things. I even found 500 Federal 215 primers. Not the match grade, but any Federal magnum rifle primers have been scarce for a long time. I bought the only 500 they had, but the fact they were on the shelf shows the supply is starting to open once again. Even IMR 4350 was available by the keg. Who woulda thought... Bill

The store in Provo Ut is quite well stocked also. Maybe not quite as good as the photo but things are picking up. Prices are still high but I think we are going to have to live with that. DW
