I saw in the Barnes manual that it recomends 748 as the most accurate load for 375HH with 235 gr tsx bullets. Does that sound right to anyone else? I don't see this powder listed in any other books for this caliber in any bullet weight. I've seen 760 listed on the Hodgon website but not 748. Any thoughts you all have would be usefull. After doing some more research (like reading the can of powder), it does say for small AND medium bore rifles. I thought it was mainly a small bore powder for .223 and so on. Anyway, I guess I will move forward without fear of explosions and maiming. Curtis

i used to use 748 for lots of things .. and please recall that the barnes bullets greatly reduce case capacity .. they are LONG -- i use h335 for most centerfire rifles these days .. 223-550express ... about the only exception on my rimmed rounds, as those are NOT in need of a compact fast powder opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? I've used 748 with 300 gr TSX bullets with some good results. The size of the bore means nothing. Whether the powder burns at the right speed is everything. The .375H&H is a relatively small capacity case for its bore size---some might call it underbore---so faster powders are needed. The common powders for the H&H are RL15, IMR 4064, and the like so while 748 is about as fast as one can go in this case, it works. 4350 is a really slow powder by .375H&H standards. LWD
