I remember going into a local gun shop about 5-6 weeks ago and finding some Federal Premium Gold Medal Large Gold Medal Match primes for............$100/1,000!!!

What is the highest price reloading component you saw in your area in the last 3-24 months?

I saw 1000 Federal 215 Magnum match primers go for $170 on GB. Several also went for $150. I needed some, but not at those prices.

I've seen people wanting $150 or more in classified ads but I don't think they ever got it.

Scheels in Great Falls, MT has several different primers priced at $5.99/100 so that equates to $72/1000 (about twice what other stores are selling for)

Supply and Demand !. In this case we supply TOP dollar and they release a dribble , so prices go higher

and higher . WRONG Market Strategy IMO !. Try purchasing Wolf or Win until Federal CCi come down too

fair market values !!!.
Having said that I purchased 5K Federal 205's at $196.?? in AZ a couple of

weeks back . I nearly cried and this is why , in 2003-04 I purchased Cases quantity of Federal 210M 215M

for $ 75.00 and 82.50 Per 5K respectively . My only regret is I didn't order an additional 50K !!!.

These folks here have always been straight up and will do what they can for you when they can !.

There are loads of CCI primers at Big Bear in Billings, MT. $32.90 per thousand for LR and SR . Magnums are 2 dollars higher per thousand. Lot's of Federal pistol primers also. Can't seem to get any Federal rifle primers. Heard they had a large government contract they are trying to fill. Don't know if it is true or not.

lol...you lot don't know how good you have it. Prices over here in the UK would make you cry.

I recently ran out of rounds whilst stalking reds in North Scotland. Popped into the local gunshop and had to part with $69 dollars for 20! That was a box of 20 Winchester Supreme in 308.

PLEASE don't buy components at these rediculous prices no matter how badly they are needed. In fact, give your business to someone else and tell them to "go to hell" on the way out the door!!!!! These people who are charging 3-4 times market value are nothing short of CRIMINALS.....

IF
I
CAN
FIND
THEM
ANYWHERE

Is that clear enough? I have a JILLION other regular and mag primers, but i PREFER fed 215m.

Please dont' presume to tell me, or anyone else, how to spend their moneey, k?

Just bought 1k of Fed SP (100) and 1k of Fed SR (205) at $31.99 each at a local gun shop. Two weeks ago. They had lots of primers CCI and Federal and said that the shortage is over. What's funny is that three other stores in the same county still have none.

Figure that?

Scotty

I just came across your post. Is that $69 USD for only 20 individual primers??? My but that is dear.

I wish there was a way for me to send some to you as the prices have settled down in my area to around $30-33 USD for a thousand.

He means for twenty rounds of factory ammunition.

This guy is fairly cheap for ammunition in the UK : Gunshop on the outskirts of London

The most I've seen primers for here is £70 per thousand for match stuff, normally about £40/k.

At the current exchange rate that's somewhere between $103 and $60........

Like Scotsgun says, you guys have it relatively pleasant compared to us. Mad
