| just checked my audels machinistsand tool makers handy book and there is no listing for a 5/16 x36 but there is a listing for a 5/16x32 that has a hole diam. of .282 and uses a 9/32 drill size,hope this helps |

| Larry B, Please DO let me know how this project works out for you. I use the SP tool quite a lot and at the present time could use about four more new modified cases. I have also had the thought of just drilling and tapping my own cases,especially for the wildcats. Not a huge money saver but when you need it yesterday a huge TIME savings. | Larry, I tried taking my O.A.L. gauge to a hardware store to see what would fit. The size tap you're looking for isn't correct according to what I was able to find and what my gunsmith told me. The tap seems to be a unique one. That makes sense for them. If it were easy to get a tap and make our own they would lose some profit.
