Is the 6MM BR cartridge considered a Wildcat? If so, then of the 3 rifles I normally take to the range, 2 are Wildcats. 10 years ago a Wildcat was also know to me as a Mountain Lion homer

Yes, discontinued may be one discription.

Once the 6mm BR was factory loaded, and firearms were mass produced, it lost the "wildcat" uniqueness.

Now it is just considered a "discontinued" cartridge.

Sure, but, I think I meant unique, as in unusual
history, from conception,evolution,death, and reserection as a wildcat. ??
A wild cat is one you just wounded?
