Yup I usually rebarrel or trade of rifles that don't shoot partitions. There are exceptions of course, and not every rifle likes NP's, but they are certainly my first choice, when I am working on hunting load development.

when i booked an alaskan coastal rwon bear hunt in 2002, master guide brad dennison told me he had 3 bear hunters with him that had their 338 nosler 250 partitions blow up on them, leaving wounded bears. since the bullet is the cheapest part of the hunt, he recommended swift a frames or trophy bodned. i chose the swift. my shot was at 20 yards, when the bear we had been stalking on a beach wandered into the woods, worked his way toward us, then popped out almost on top of us. sure want a bullet that will penetrate & bust big bones..just something to consider....
