I can get once fired Federal Gold Match brass (once fired) for $20 per 100. Is the brass any better than Winchester brass?

Snow If its 223 I have read lots of bad reports mostly on the AR 15 forum. Regards Ray

Pumba, I must admit I have never used Norma brass, although everyone rates it best. Question; Can you get a more accurate load with it, or is it simply a matter that you get more loads? Steve

Where does Lapua rate in the mix? I've seen some indications it is better then domestic brass, yet isn't as pricey as Norma.

Paul H Lapua brass is some of the best brass available, most benchrest shooters use it. The uniformity is better than most US domestic brass. The primer flash holes are drilled rather than punched, so no flash holes to deburr. There web site says its designed to be reloaded at least 10 times. Regards Ray

The federal brass I have used also tends to be heavier than the Winchester by about 8 grains or so in 223.

Hey Guy's You forgot about RWS wich makes damm good brass. Norma makes cases for Lapua and RWS, Weatherby, Dakota, Wby cases for Federal and some of the metric calibers for Winchester, Kynoch. Plus a few more It sometimes hard to know who made the case even if the bottom stamp says Win, Lapua, federal, dakota or RWS. or "remingchester"
