Busted my primer seating stem.
A phone call to RCBS less than one week ago--a new assembly was in my mail box yesterday--no charge.
Was my fault would of gladly paid for it. Great compamy to do business with.

I've had the exact same experience with RCBS. I guess that's why there is alot of RCBS green on my reloading bench. They're customer service is great.

I bought a 243 sizer die years ago that had no lube vent hole. It was dimpling cases. I called them and explained what I had. The guy asked me if I had a trash can, and when I told him I did, he told me to throw the die n the trash, and then asked me what my address was.

A week later a new die: no charge.

+1 a feral Berdan primed case took mine out, combined with my lack of concentration with processing a bag of range kill brass from the range. I told the service guys the truth and they sent me a new stem in Australia.
I am real happy with the service from RCBS unlike Howard Leight earmuffs who are the other extreme.

Regards,
Bob.

"Free" parts are nice but they aren't free; you paid for the parts with the high intial price.

I've screwed up several times and RCBS has always come thru. Sometimes I kinda feel guilty that I'm taking advantage of them. Too bad more companies aren't on their level for service & quality.

To my experience all of the reloading companies will provide the very same service.....except one

Hornady

Their customer service is even better than that.....if you stick a case in a die and mail it to them, they'll remove the stuck case and return it to you free.....so what you ask?.... well they'll do it even if it's a competitor's die!!!!!

My experience has been bad with Lyman, with several of their products.
Hornnady has been good. Is it possible that it all boils down to whom you get to speak. Plus positive customer service has always involved die parts.
Lyman was problems with their powder measure (that was sent back several times) and case trimmers.

RCBS and Redding both have great customer service. They have sent parts I offered to pay for. As for "high prices" you pay for quality, how many "free" parts do you think they ship?

I have probably spent $1,000 with RCBS in my lifetime and received $5.00 is spare parts free...

I have no idea if this is typical.

It would be interesting to find out. My experience with both RCBS and Redding are about the same. If you use that as an average it's about .5%.
