I have some cutting edge bullets here, 180gr .416. And I have some load data to run them at 3000fps+.
But what I would like is a load in the range of 2500fps or 2600fps with a focus on accuracy. This is for deer and coyote. Most of my shots will be in the area of 150yds or less. With an outside possibility of 300 yds, but not likely.
I want to be able to shoot with precision, recover from the recoil, work the bolt, and put more rounds on target as quickly as possible. Precision, and recovery time.

Any suggestions where to start?

Maybe you missed some absolutely incredible posts of phenomenal accuracy with the 416 in the past couple of days.

Sorry no load data. Be curious as to how they do. Run them through a sizer and stick them in a 400 Whelen.

Just fooling in QL any number of medium burnrate powders can get you in that velocity range and get close to a full case but pressures are going to be LOW. So don't know about the burn.

As usual just my $.02

My 416 Taylor so far shoots every thing I have shot into one ragged hole groups. Recoil is a bit much for a all day session of PDs.

I found the IMR 4064 is the go to powder in my rifle. A little less powder a bit more vel then RL15.

And accurate as heck in my rifle.

I believe that that would be fun to shoot hogs with them also.

But then it is fun to just them with any thing. dancing

They ruin too much meat on those coyotes at 3000 FPS. They are OK on deer with shoulder shots as deer have very little meat on the shoulders! hilbily sofa
