| Thought I would start with 86 grains and try to get 3,200 fps.
I'm going on an antelope/mule deer hunt this fall and thought I would try the bt's. I normally shoot 200 gr speer hotcore bullets with great success.
I figure the 8 mag is a little large but I shoot it well and I've carried on most of my mountian hunts so it doesn't seem right to leave it at home.
Have you had any experience with this bullet on game? |

Yeah, I'd say so!
I've got one, and have never used BT's in it. I've pretty much settled on the "heavy for caliber", stoutly built mentality on this one, figuring I'll get enough speed with any bullet loaded.
I'd be interested in hearing your results if you whack an antelope with it. Keep us posted... |

| Chronographed my loads which averaged 3,343 fps using 86 gr. of Rlr 22. The outside temp. was about 95. I thought I would get about 3,200 fps. Will the heat cause this much variance? |

| I'm with Pop. That is awful fast for the BT. The 200 partition is just a great bullet for the 8mm and there is nothing it can't do. |
