I wrote down from Nosler's Manual #4 a max load of 88 grains of RL22 for 180 gr BT's. I don't currently have access to the manual and was thinking this was a little much. Would someone mind checking their manual and see if this is correct?

Thats also what it says in #5. But it lists 84 gns Rlr 22 as the starting load. Work up carefully. Thats one explosive load your cookin up there, what you gonna use it on?

I shot some of those in my 8X57 and the results were pretty impressive, but even @ 2600 fs they mushroomed nearly all the way to the base. I wish us 8mm fans had some more 8mm bullets available.

Thought I would start with 86 grains and try to get 3,200 fps.

I'm going on an antelope/mule deer hunt this fall and thought I would try the bt's. I normally shoot 200 gr speer hotcore bullets with great success.

I figure the 8 mag is a little large but I shoot it well and I've carried on most of my mountian hunts so it doesn't seem right to leave it at home.

Have you had any experience with this bullet on game?
