Posts that start with labels like, "What if", "I have a question", "Need advice", "Help!", "Whats the best", etc.

All are totally meaningless, giving us no clue what the topic actually is. I normally ignore 'em, figger if they can't state the question they aren't likely to understand the answer either.

What's wrong with recipes?? Would formulaes sound more dramatic?
Seems a recipe is a list of ingrediants and how to put them together?
In another forum, a way-kewl fellow refers to a stock as a "handle". That edges my teeth.

Caliber when it should be cartridge!
Bore diameter when it should be groove diameter. roger

Grroves on Horady Interlock (I know that's partly why they "interlock) that don't match where I want to seat them too in my reloads!

The worst are the 8mm size that are all in the wrong place for 8x57 or 8x60S!

The misuse of the word Bespoke on non British made items

This might be the first time I have read a thread with more than a handful of responses in which I find myself agreeing with everyone.

By the way, "boolits" is at the top of my list. It just makes me want to punch someone.

And the thing is...the guy never ever used it according to the description when it was sold at Christies in London in 2006 for £ 120,000.

1) Gold inlays on any kind of firearm.

Though I will tolerate silver inlays if its not over done.

2) Commemorative firearm editions, specially with some notables name or face engraved on it with gold inlay.

3) skip line checkering.

4) Gold triggers.

5) fleur de lis carved or engraved anywere on a firearm.

6) telescopic sights that do not have an objective lens bell - don't care how good they are, they still look off. Form must balence function.

7) Forum posters with huge signature phrases or comments on every one of their posts - gag.

8) movies that show firearms shooting with impossiable or 1 in a million shot accuracy on the first shot with out recoil even.

9) sensorship off any kind

10) corrupt companies, polititians and cops with 12+ years of service that think they have become gods.

11) core pirate america that take jobs off shore and return products home and expect to sell the crap.

12) rainy days and snow that won't just fall in parks and stay off the road.

13) poor quality contol on component brass.

The term "recipe" is at least a suggestion that if others carefully duplicate it they will obtain indential results; that works for cakes but not reloads so it's misleading.

Some pet peeves:

* The idea that I could use other people's load data - "pet load" - and expect the same results in a different firearm.

* Calling a metallic cartridge a "bullet" and a case a "shell" or "casing".

* "Expert" reloaders who have no clue of the difference between headspace and case head-to-shoulder length.

* People who pepper their speach with "you know". If that were true there would be no reason for them to rattle on!

* Pompous people who think it's a sign of superior intellect if they say "at this point in time" rather than simply saying "now.

* Political/social "progressives" who seek to progressivly confiscate other people's earned income and progressively restrict other people's freedom in the pursuit of their dreamy social ideals for a worker's utopia.

Gee Jim C, when I read your short list, I can see where it would be a recipe for you to have a lot of discontent when dealing with us dumbasses that don't know it all.

Yeah the Red Brand really sucks and I oughta know, I've using some of that crap for the last 30 years.
