Yes, and .308 as well. Use whatever shoots best in your rifle, as they vary from .308 to huge.

depends.. .311 is a good bet .. all of mine have like 150gr 303 bullets

.310 - .312 with jacketed bullets. I've found .311 and particularly .312 bullets to shoot the best in most MN 7.62x54Rs.

Finnish 28-30s have .308 groove diameters but will shoot anything. I have a Finnish TKIV 85 sniper with a 308 groove and it won't shoot anything else very well.

I don't think .308 will work in my rifle. I tested some 30/06 rounds in the end of the barrel and the bullet goes clear in up to the neck.
