Gents: I have the opportunity to rebarrel a 7mm rm m70 classic to 375 ruger or have it redone into the H&H. The issue for me with the ruger stems from the fact I cannot find brass anyplace. does anyone else have the same issue and does/did this keep you from this cartridge? help appreciated! Jeff

JSL, I have a ruger 375 and have never had any problem finding brass. Graf + sons has it in stock: http://www.grafs.com/product/261270 Do the ruger...you will like it. Cheers

Just a heads up that brass at Grafs is "BASIC" So it will need to be formed. The walls will be untapered no shoulder and probably too long. Going to 375Ruger would require the least work to your action. The H&H will require removing the mag spacer and either replacing or altering the bolt stop and ejector. All easy enough to do. H&H brass is available and ammo available around the world. Shortages for the 375Ruger brass should be near turn as everyone stocks up. Buy a 100 or so form it and it will last you years. Since most people don't use them for varmints. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

jsl, of course, if you build the Holland, that is what you will have if you ever go to sell it. They have solid resale value and sell quickly. Look at the history here the past two years... Rich

Basic means straight cases .. will form with one pass, if you use kiwi clear wax wow, the 375 ruger is STILL behind in filling demand for brass? Dang Its a nil feeding changes to go from 3.35" hh based mag to 375 ruger ... other than PERHAPS ramp. opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Jeff, I can't quote anyone else's prices .. I would expect it to be a normal barreling charge, unless they need a reamer, too opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Jeff I think what Jeffe was saying was that a conversion from a M70 in a 3.35" magnum like the 7mag to a 375 Ruger is basically a rebarrel. Depending on how it feeds you might need a little work on the feed ramp to allow proper alignment of the larger OD case. The changes to the action will be very minor if at all. Trust John if he can make my 400PDK feed like buter he will have no issue with the 375Ruger. If you are talking about the brass it is simply lube size and trim. Depending on the length of the basic brass and your die you might have to trim some first then size and trim. The shoulder will be a touch rounded but that will sharpen after firing. Not really a bid deal. I have never had John install a barrel but everything else he has done for me is first class. Don't know what barrel you want if a Douglas is OK then you might check out ITD http://itdcustomgun.com/index.html Barrel supplied, chambered and blued for around $280. I haven't had them install but they have short chambered severalfor me and I was happy. If you want the action trued I beleive that would be extra. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

When one buys an item requiring a supply of (ammo/cases) that have only one source ....in this case Hornady.....he is always advised to keep a stock on his own personal shelf. This applies to anything made by only one source. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." +1 That's why since many of my wildcats are based on Norma 280Rem cases I never let the bag get less than half full. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
