which powder measure?
I am in the market for a powder measure for loading pistol
cartridges. Under consideration are the various Lee auto disk
measures, the RCBS little dandy, and the Hornady pistol measure. and allso the Lee perfect measure. The Hornady rotors are not listed for the powder I use for my .45 acp loads. I can't find a chart for the RCBS rotors on their website and they haven't responded to my e'mails. I also don't want to experiment with rotors at about eight bucks a pop.

I've heard mixed reviews about the lee measures. I own some
Lee equipment and while it seems cheaply made, seems to work okay. Loading on the case mouth expansion stage on the press seems like a plus.

I use the Lee scoops, a trickler and a scale for my rifle loads, so this measure would only be for pistols. It need not handle extruded powders or have a high-capacity hopper.

I'm not overly concerned with price, but don't want to pay for features I wont be using. I wonder why RCBS has no rotor chart readily available. It may well have cost them a customer in this case.

I also have a Lee- and I agree- it does seem cheap. I get relatively consistant loads for my SuperBlackhawk- but use your same method for my rifle- Lee scoops. I have also found that the powder chart is not even close. A good buddy has and RCBS and swears by it. I may be looking for a new one soon and will look toward the RCBS first.

Thanks Matt. It helped a lot. My load is even there. I can't help but wonder why vendors that sell the products don't include these charts in their catalogs. Where did you get this chart? I could not locate it on the rcbs (blount) website.

Nevermind Matt. It's right there. I gotta stop shopping online whild consuming beer. My apology goes out to all at rcbs. You make a fine product and have an informative website. You may, however, suggest that catalogs that carry your products include the rotor charts for any measures they sell.
