| Try "Lock Stock and Barrel". Nice people, good prices, good service. Not one complaint in over ten years. Good luck!

| I really like Sportsmens Warehouse but I seem to share the wealth with all of them. Besides it keeps me in catalogs and brochures forever. Powders and primers I get from gun shows. |

| sinclair international. Those guys are some of the most knowledgable people you can buy from. If you have a question, most any question, they will answer it, and they are happy to do it. And, most importantly, the skilled phone reps (who are nearly all if not all competitive shooters) know virtually every product sold. If you order something, you will get the right product. http://www.sinclairintl.com/catalog2.htmlThey also have good prices. The place for lower prices is midsouthshooters.com, but I just haven't been pleased with their staff. Like going to wal-mart's front counter, handing them a shopping list of reloading supplies, and paying for them before the sales rep gives you your items. You just pray you are lucky enough to get someone who knows something. Just my opinion. These things go for places like cabelas as well, but they are more expensive than the other two. |

| I have bought from 50 different on line mail order places, and I now have dropped Midway, Widner's, T&T, Midsouth, wholesale hunter, Natchez, etc, or who ever might be the cheapest for a box of bullets today.
I now buy from Lock Stock and Barrel, Graf and son, and Sinclair. I am now willing to pay 5% extra for someone to answer the phone who knows the what the products are.
Too many times I have dealt with some minumum wage 18 year old, who does not reload, taking my order and scewing it up.
Too many times I have poured over what vendor is the cheapest with shipping included until my old senile brain screws up my order.
Screw it. I will pay more. It one less pair of python boots my kids can buy to dance on my grave. |

| I pretty much buy all my stuff from www.MidwayUSA.com they are cheaper on somethings and higher on others but over all it equals out and they get it in the mail to you faster than any of the others I've tried and they don't try to rip you off on shipping charges to make up the differences in prices. I've also never had a shipment that was missing an item or with the wrong items. I buy my powder and primers at gun shows or the local gun shop. 500Mag |

| What?
Midway doesn't charge retail shipping and pay wholesale shipping?
Wholesale across the country for large items is about ~$.50/pound and retail is ~ $1/pound, which does Midway charge?
Small items across the country are much cheaper through the mail, but the US mail does not give kick backs. Does Midway ship small items through the mail? Or just THEIR catalogs?
Midway has lower prices, their J prices, for FFLs.
If you spend $2k/year at Midway, will they give you a price break?
They would not give me one. |

| www.precisionreloading.com is another alternative but not nearly as all-encompassing as Midway or Graf's. Midway's website and catalogs have pictures and good info for most products. Graf's is bare-bones...you had better already know what you want before you order. www.rwhart.com is a Remington dealer for guns and bulk brass. Also, Leupold, Redding, Nosler and VihtaVuori powder in stock, just to name a few. Their website has been redesigned, however: just pictures of their catalog pages. So you have to go through 36 pages to get to the one selling brass...very, very slow. (or maybe it's my dial-up connection?) Best to call for them to send a catalog. Family business in benchrest and long-range shooting products. You won't find better knowledge anywhere. |

| Midway does charge retail on shipping. The company I work for gets about 30% off on UPS shipping. As much as Midway ships I am sure their discount is atleast that much. The one order I have placed with Midway since they started charging shipping I was charged retail on the shipping not "actual shipping charges". |

| $5.80 to ship a Bianchi Cyclone Holster from Midway Priority Mail. The shipping was a ripoff, but the deal on the holster made up for it. Natchez wanted $82.00 for it, Midway $57.00. Bill T. |

| Hairtrigger, Thanks for confirming my suspicions [that always feels good].
I am also suspicious that some lead bullet manufacturers are charging wholesale shipping charges. |

| Gunstop Reloading Supply in Minnesota is good, and easy to deal with. I tend to shop around a lot. If you live in the pacific NW and are into acccuracy stuff Russ Haydon's is great. |

| MidSouth Shooting Supply was getting my money long before Midway ditched their so-called "free shipping" format. MSS is always competitive or cheaper on gear, but their component prices are consistently the best. Their shipping charge are "book" rates, but they offer UPS or FedEx Ground, and FedEx currently beats UPS by 1-2 days to my area. If you can have the delivery to a business, tell MSS and you also skip the residential fee. |

| Different suppliers for different things. For shotshell components -- powder, primers, wads, and shot -- I buy from the place where I shoot skeet: The Prince George's County Trap and Skeet Center in greenbelt, MD. Their prices are as good as I've found elsewhere, and there are no shipping charges because I pick them up there.
For rifle powder I've used various suppliers. Midway doesn't sell powder, so I've bought larger units from Graf & Sons -- I joined with a friend and we got several different 8-pound units; this keeps the powder shipping surcharge low enough on a per/pound basis to make things worthwhile. There's a Bass Pro Shop some distance from me, but it's on the way to the rifle range I use, so I've been buying rifle powder from them recently, except that they've been out of RL22 for a long time. I've also bought a few primers from them. They have bullets too, but their prices are somewhat higher than Midway's and I also have to pay sales tax there, so I rarely buy rifle bullets there.
For bullets, dies, brass, and other such I almost always buy from Midway. Until Midway started charging shipping, Grafs was somewhat less expensive, but now they seem to be about the same because Midway lowered their prices when they began to charge for shipping. |
