I do not want anything getting into the shell of these slugs, so I cut a cardboard circle to fit, and pushed it into the mouth of the shell. To keep it secure I am thinking of pouring in just enough sealing wax to seal the edges.

Any comments appreciated.

Just use some clear nail polish to seal the edge. Should work fine.

I have melted wax into the crimp before when they wouldn't seal tight. I would think that should work good for you.

Thanks for the comments. I will use the nail polish on the primer and edge of the brass, but I do think it would be better for the wax to go on the mouth of the case. I wasn't perfect in cutting the cardboard overwads. Smiler
