I was reloading some 30 carbine ammo and encounter some Lake City ( 52 ) brass with three holes under the primer. The primers were staked or crimped in place. ( I gave up after trying to decap 2 of them ) Has anyone seen this or know why the 3 holes??? Thanks for any response. Shovel ready..... but hangin' on

I've only come across some totally unmarked 43 Spanish brass with the extra large berdan primer that had 3 flash holes. Most of the berdan-primed cases have two or one flash hole. Can't address the matter with Lake City brass...
