I have a couple hundred over-sized 280 gr. 45 colt slugs that I would like to size down to .452. For those who have done this with the Lee size die, will this procedure remove the existing lube or cause problems because of the existing lube?

The Lee dies won't remove the existing lube. In fact, the lube helps support the driving bands when you're radically resizing CB's. I.e., it is possible to resize a .326" CB to .314" in a Lee sizing die with no damage to the bullet if you first fill its grooves with your favorite lube. ...Maven
