Besides the loads with WC-872 that I posted I like Federal brass federal 215 primer and 99.5 grains of retumbo with either the TXS or Accu Bond 180 grain bullets I get 3426 with TXS and 3450 with the Acco Bond My barrel is 27 1/2" including the brake

I'm with jwp475
Retumbo isn't as temperature sensitive as the RL 22 and 25 powders. I love the velocities that I get with RL, but I don't like the inconsistencies that have been found with both lot variations and temperature variations. Speaking with Ty Herring at Barnes, he convinced me to use Retumbo, since it isn't temperature sensitive and usually comes within 50fps of RL velocities. My load development will consist of 180gr TSX bullets and Retumbo powders with Federal 215 primers. Good luck!!!

Sorry to be boring but I'll have to echo the other posts. The ONLY 2 powders I've used in my 300 RUM are Retumbo and Re25. The latter being the most accurate in my 28 inch Shilen #4. I've got loads with the 180 TSX, Accubond, and BTip, 200 Accub., and 180 Scirocco.

The 200 Accub. and 180TSX are the most accurate in my rifle.

I have 3 RUMs. Two like 4831 (88 grains and I think 86) the other likes 94 H1000.

I have found the super slow powders string bullets at super long ranges, but maybe it is my bad luck.
