I was wondering if anybody had experiences with Ramshot powder. I was looking into using either Hunter or Big Game for my 7mmRemMag and my 300WSM. I know everybody's gun shoots different but I was curious on the performance of these two powders. The price is what caught my eye at about $16 a pound that seems to be a good deal as compared to the $20 a pound MagPro I am using right now.

I've used the stuff and have no complaints....you have to try it to see how it works.....all ball powders...frankly I like that.

John Barsness, practically the only gun writer I believe, writes that he likes Ramshot - meters as well as any ball, but burns cleaner, and the whole line is less temperature sensitive.

Big Game will be too fast for the 7Mag, they make a slower powder, don't remember what they call it. I use the Big Game in the 9.3x62, works great with the 286 gr at 2500 fps.

I use Hunter in my 300WSM and 30-06. I use BigGame in my 7mm-08 and 9.3X62. I use X-Terminator in my 7.62X39. All loads are very accurate and velocities are excellent. In the 7Mag I tried Hunter and found Magnum a bit better. Come to think of it, I am using Ramshot powders in just about everything I shoot. I like the stuff.
