I was lucky enough to get ahold of 8 lb's of Superformance. They list load data for 243, 243 WSSM, 30-06, 300 RCM, and 300 WSM.

Other than the standard disclaimers, How have you guys worked up loads for unlisted cartridges. I want to get this to work in a .308 win.

you'd think that would be the first cartridge they would have worked loads for.

Seems like it would be too slow for use in the .308win. Probably fill the case before you reached acceptable velocities.

That's the thing, it's generating about 50-100 more FPS than "regular" powders. And it should take less in a 308 than a 243, right?

But they have 30-06 loads for it as well as 243 WSSM. I must need more research.

30-06 and 243 WSSM are not 308 Win. Do all the research you can, it won't fit, it's to slow!

I see... found this:
http://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Burn%20Rates_121211.pdf

I am going to make the wild assumption that if a round is loaded with both H4831, and Win Supreme 780, that I might be safe loading Superformance.
ie the 6.5 x 284
