CollinsSuperformance load for .308
I was lucky enough to get ahold of 8 lb's of Superformance. They list load data for 243, 243 WSSM, 30-06, 300 RCM, and 300 WSM.
Other than the standard disclaimers, How have you guys worked up loads for unlisted cartridges. I want to get this to work in a .308 win.

Lamaryou'd think that would be the first cartridge they would have worked loads for.
guess it don't work there.

CazadorSeems like it would be too slow for use in the .308win. Probably fill the case before you reached acceptable velocities.

CollinsThat's the thing, it's generating about 50-100 more FPS than "regular" powders. And it should take less in a 308 than a 243, right?

Gary SurkoDifferent expansion ratio's.

steve4102Superformance is slower that 4831, to slow for the 308 Win.

CollinsBut they have 30-06 loads for it as well as 243 WSSM. I must need more research.

RustyGo here-
Hodgdon PowdersBTW, they do not list a loading for 308 Win with Superformance.

30-06 and 243 WSSM are not 308 Win. Do all the research you can, it won't fit, it's to slow!

CollinsI see... found this:
http://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Burn%20Rates_121211.pdfI am going to make the wild assumption that if a round is loaded with both H4831, and Win Supreme 780, that I might be safe loading Superformance.
