Hello everyone, before I start loading for my old rifle, I'd like some opinions on brass. Which do you like best and why? Thanks in advance.

Once fired 30-06 G. I. brass because it's free! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] (at the local CMP service rifle clinic)

I trim about 3/16" off with a razor saw, run em through the 8X57 F/L die and finish up with my "Zip Trim. The Lee deburing tool works fine as a primer pocket swage remover.

This method makes great 8X57 cases! [Wink]

I've used Remington, Federal, and Winchester - they've all worked out fine. However, I tend to load mine 8x57s modestly. I'm sure Norma brass is probably "better", but probably not enough better to make a difference in most hunting situations.
