I picked up 100 pcs. of 270 WSM brass at a local gun show last week and was wondering what was going on with one case. It has a perfect circle embeded in the brass just under the shoulder about 1/16 down about 3/16 in diameter. ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

I hope it doesn't look like this. Take a gem clip, straighten it out then bend the end to a 45 and sharpen the tip. Use it to feel the inside of the case for any cracks. If you feel a place, then it is fixing or has separated. Throw it away. Brass is cheap. Back to the still. Spelling, I don't need no stinkin spelling The older I get, the better I was.

Circular indentation 3/16-1/4" in diameter in the side of the case? Sounds like it was fired in a test barrel... AllanD If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! Yup...that's my guess. That's what they look like. I'm not sure if they're safe to reload or not. I was given a barrel full of them once and I trashed the whole lot. Never reloaded a single one. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." The test barrel theory sound good to me. Only one round in the lot. ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

I would take that case, and any other like it, and simply put them into your "collection of weird shit" box.
