After reading that long mess, I sympathize with the bullet company. Even with the multiple misrepresentations and unverified accusations being made against the bullet company, the company seems to have still tried to understand the issue and address any actual problem. The company apparently became frustrated with the evasive behavior of the customer and made the mistake of making some childish comments. Other than that mistake, I don't see much that the company did wrong. This post is classic case of what a vindictive customer can do in the age of the internet. Unfortunately, even the most upstanding companies have some customers who cannot be satisfied.

I kinda get disgusted when chit like this happens. For one thing, perhaps the first thing, I'm not much interested in taking sides, and I'm especially not interested in reading a long rant, and try to sort it out. IMO, this is the kind of chit that causes some who have a real complaint to also be ignored, and be classed in with the general disgrunteled, and unable to be satisfied.

It's been a long time since I used handloads with swaged lead bullets, which as I recall are about as soft as they get. As I remember it, I would shoot a few, then clean the barrel and the rest of the gun, and use low velocity loads 750-850 fps. I don't recall having the expectation of shooting 100 rounds before dealing with the lead build-up issue.

As I understand it, that's why gas checks are a good idea.

Seems to me that an attentive person would discover whatever problem might be building, by inspecting his firearm and perhaps cleaning more often. Maybe it's just me.

My suggestion is to buy some high grade cheese to go with that whine. Big Grin Eat it with some sardines and whole wheat crackers, and you'll feel a lot better. Otherwise, perhaps you need a good laxative.

Any real reloader can determine for themselves if the commercial bullets are OK or not. Any real reloader knows what to do with soft bullets vs hard bullets.
Any real human being takes a complaint to the company and NOT to a forum and then works with the company to solve the problem.
I read the long post and all I can say is: this is the reason I will not go into business for myself. There are too many strange people who want to take offense and sue.
All I got out of the post is that the person complaining is making statements that make no sense. He shows zero knowledge of lead bullets and is on the attack from the get go.
The company responses seemed quite correct until the childish attacks got their goat and they stooped to the same lever.
Both parties better hope I'm not on the jury as I would submit questions to both about their production/reload process and what was ordered vs what was delivered.
Reminds me of a friend who sued a golf course because their sprinkler system got his car wet and he had water spots on his car.

Actually most companies won't engage in indignities on the internet!....or even discuss the issue on the internet.!

I am from NZ and have no cat or dog in this shinding!

One question - were the bullets bought by the complainant directly from the company or "borrowed" from a friend who bought them from the company?

If it was an indirect deal, the company has no obligations to the complainant what so ever. Period. JMHO

Well the owner cant talk about the same subject the victim is talking about, then he'd have to admit he screwed up and if you spend an evening searching for threads about his product, he does the same thing everywhere; smoke and mirrors. Not once did he address my complaint, not once. Every time I said he sold me bad bullets, I want my money back; he replied with who posted what where and how many orders I placed. Tell me please what does any of that have to do with it?

I had deleted my post because I decided I had nothing to add. Since you pulled it back in. The stories I quit reading after was the different stories as to who actually bought the bullets. Since that was confusing I lected to no bother with the rest.

To me bottomline an internet forum(s) is not the place to try and solve this issue.

As usual just my $.02

I have shot thousands of Missouri Bullets in multiple calibers and have found them to be uniformly excellent. I don't plan on buying bullets from anywhere else anytime soon. I hate to see a good product smeared.

Where did you get the information that a too-soft alloy would lead the barrel and blow your arms and legs off or kill you?
Have you tested the bullets for Bhn yet?

I would be careful, companies are starting to send lawyers after people who do this sort of thing without proof that will stand up in court.

I still occasionally get some Lead Bullets which are a bit "Softer" than other ones I've been using. If you try to Heat Treat them, then you have to Reapply some kind of Lube. And normally I'm not interested in remanufacturing the Lead Bullets.

So, I normally shoot 2-5 cylinders full while looking closely at the Grooves. When the Lead begins building up, I just run some Jacketed Bullets through it and they tend to clean out nearly all the Lead. So far after many decades of doing this, I've yet to see any Excess Pressure Indications. However, if a person waited too long, there is no doubt Excess Pressure could result and possibly be enough to damage the Revolver and the Shooter. So, if anyone else tries this, you do so at your own risk.

Leading can occurr due to the Velocity being too High or too Low. Both create different kinds of Leading. And quite often the Leading can be totally stopped by cutting Milk Carton Gas Checks and placing them between the Powder and Bullet, which is a third kind of Leading. There is also Leading created by the Bullets being too Small and the Cylinder not being 0.001"-0.002" Larger than the Grooves. Improper Powder and on and on.

Lead Bullets are still very economical and shoot great once the correct recipe is determined. You can Kill anything on Earth with the proper Lead Bullet.

Well, that (this thread) surely was the most efficient and succinct solidarity that I have seen demonstrated on this forum. Big Grin

Nice and clean, and to the point.

That was worth a good chuckle.

I got some Missouri bullets that leaded a barrel and figured out I was driving them WAY too fast. My bad, not Mo Bullets. It would have happened with any bullet company.

I sure as hell didn't come on an internet site and piss and moan. Looks like someone got ate up with the dumbass.

Tool or gun or scope or component, etc, bitching can sure get amusing. Some poor soul buys something he doesn't understand, uses it improperly or has unrealistic expectations and comes on the web to convience/warn the world that the item is the worst POS every sold and no part of the 'failure' is his ... and be foolish enough to expect that people who actually know better to believe it!

What do you expect from a guy who thinks "bye" is spelled "by". Or is that the way rocket scientist spell it??

The reason I posting this is I'm sure he comes lurking back in every now and then.

The childish “By” “By” “By” stuff tells me a lot about the problem. Who would want to stay and discuss the issue like an adult? NOT this guy.
