How about sharing your favorite loads for the 7 x 64 Brenneke?

My favorite is the Sierra 140gr FB Spitzer, pushed at 3025fps. 52gr of Somchem's S365, one of our local powders.

Then the Swift A-Frame, with 50gr of the same powder. 2700fps I think, will get back to you on that one.

Love the caliber, dont know why though. I could have bought a 280 Rem, but then again why when I have the 7x64. Then again I bought out OWS of all their 7x64 REM brass lol. Had the cases so I needed a rifle.

Here are my 7x64 pet loads :

175 Hornady SP/H4350/52.5 (WLR std.)
160 Sierra GK HP/N160/55.5 (CCI 250)
160 " " SP/ " /56.0 (CCI 250)

All keep 5 shots between .4 and .8 MOA from my Sauer 202.
NB. : the 160's are my std. hunting loads (SP for lighter game and HP, which is actually tougher, for bigger beasts). In factory loads, the Norma 170 Vulkan shoots 5 in .5 MOA.

Hi Pete,

loading the 7x64 is easy using the right powder.
I prefer RL19 for bullets up to 150grs and RL22 for the heavier ones.
With MRP simply make a light compressed load and try to make the COL as long as you can.

Please don't quote me on this, but I think you can use 280 Rem/7mm Rem Express data.

Cartridges of the World comes to mind for a reference - but that's a stretch for a "reference."

The 280 Remington is close, but not entirely the same,so don't mix up!
If you use the right kind of powder, the 6 x 64 is very easy to load, mostly no big surprises.
