I use both of these. I bought a 6 lb jug of surplus 4759 real cheap and it works well with my cast bullet loads in the 30-30 and 30-06. Twenty some grains of IMR 4227 and a 125 grain Speer TNT shoots real good out of my 30-06. Its a good 200 yard coyote load. Doesn't ricochet or make a lot of noise.
I don't use IMR but I and several of my friends do use H4227 for reduced loads in anything from .243 to 30-06. It shoots thight groups with light for calibre bullets, mostly Sierra Varmint. Perfect for practice and shooting crows, foxes etc.

While I have never used any of the various 4227 offerings, I am a card carrying member of the SR4759 fan club. Excellent accuracy in everything I have tried it in. I shoot it in 7br, 7-08, 7 IHMSA, 308 .221 fireball and 30-30. Favorite 30-30 load was a 210m primer, 168g match king and about 18g of SR4759. Shot my first 60x60 IHMSA score with that load out of a 14in contender.
