A local gun store now has plenty of powder on the shelves, they have been stocking for about a month now. It’s gone up a dollar or two a pound but at least it’s available now.
As for primers the owner says that the manufactures are going to concentrating on the civilian market now and we should be getting cases of primers around the end of the month.
So things are getting back to normal as far as obtaining what we need.

The bad news here is that some NY Democrat’s are passing bills through the state on the micro stamping bullshit by 2011 and license renewal every five years. Even though no body has been successful in micro stamping and it is just a concept.
These politicians are mostly city folks that don’t have a clue on how the country lives and enjoys their freedoms and sports. Or they are just white collar workers that have boring lives. They must know that these gun laws don’t impact crime so they are spiteful kill joys.
They don’t speak for the majority.
Why is it that 304,059,724 can’t control 600?

That's really not a lot. It sure helps but a lot less than what can be sold.

Well, I was never very good at math but by my calculations, it's only 3500 bricks. Not that many overall in my book.

The local Cabela's said they are getting 250K to 500K at a whack and they only last about 3 days with a 3K per customer limit.

I don't bother to look I just call. They picked a crummy location from me on the wrong side of town.

butchloc ; May I inquire as to where you got word ?. As I contacted several distributors as well as the

factory last week . I was given the the following statements by ALL OF THEM !.

At this time we are unable to quote delivery schedules as the factory has been unable

to furnish a delivery schedule to us . Federal sent the following statement ;

Due to our military contract obligations we regret that as of this time there is no certainty

of scheduled delivery too our distributors for the retail markets .

3.5 million works out to be roughly one primer per Texas deer hunter.

The Cabelas in KC only allows 300 per customer, not 3K. I wish. I just backorder with Grafs or Midsouth, it's easier.

At least in SLC Federal primers are starting to show up and remain on the shelves. One store I visit is getting a delivery each week, large enough to last 5-6 days. Not bad, all things considered.

Do you suppose things might be better if CT voters got rid of the Congress-people from their state who do everything they can to destroy both the firearms and the ammuniiton companies throughout America? Maybe not, but I'll bet it wouldn't hurt any....

Now, Pensylvanians I feel some sympathy for....

That's encouraging. Supply for civillians should catch up with demand sometime, I'd think.

On another note, how about domestic sources for berdan primers? Okay...stop laughing. I know, why do I bother?

East Hartford has powder, but I didn't even ask about primers...so used to them being unavailable, I suppose.

I hear you AC, but they still get in without my vote. Dodd and our lovely neighbors above (Barney and Teddy) should be voted into jail in my estimation!

Sinclair has Sellier & Bellot . I understand Magtech owns them now, and have read some reviews stating they are good primers - they should be a perfectly fine substiute while waiting on my preferred brand to become available. I may even like them better after some loading! clap

I just got an e-mail from Cabela in which they said that they were in the process of filling my Federal 205M primer order. You might be able to get some there, though they are filling backorders first and were not sure that there would be any left after that. Still, it might be worth a try.
