Anyone use .452 bullets in .45 ACP? I found a few more 165 gr and 180 gr Hornady FTX's in .452 and wonder if they're safe to shoot in my Colt XSE or Glock 21?

to answer your question, i likly wouldnt load acp with .452 .. not primarily bc of pressure, but the acp headspaces off the case mouth, which generally means fairly tight chambers.. and throwing that off could result in feeding and/or failing to close the slide -- so i would likely avoid the combo

well, sometimes, and "no, not really" in jacketed bullets
the .451 is sold specifically for acp, and 452 for colt --ye olde .454 is for older 45's .. hornady and speer dont make .454 jacketed bullets for instance.

They work fine in my 1911; .45 chambers ain't that tight to not allow another .001. SAAMI specs call for a .452 jacketed and/or a .453 Lead bullet with a -.003 tolerance. I assume your modern pistols were made to SAAMI tolerances.
