My opinion is that the XLC is the way to go. If you are dealing with hunting accuracy, I have had good success taking a middle of the road powder for the cartridge, and letting the bullet jump about .05 (or more). The XLC will take about 1 to 1.5 grains extra powder in the 223 case. Call the technical line at Barnes, they will give you the powder they use for their accuracy testing. HTH, Dutch. | |||

Barnes has just issued their latest reloading manual and stongly suggest you buy and read it carefully...they talk, in a very clear way how to make their bullets shoot the best. If you are going to shoot Barnes bullets, you need the book. | |||
