| I'm using 59.0 grains of IMR4895 and Graf 9x62 brass primed with Winchester WLR primers in a CZ 550 and getting an average of 2550fps over a PACT chronograph. I've tried 60.0 grains of the same power and receipe and got 2600fps, but it printed 6 inches higher than my 270gr. load. I didn't have any pressure signs with either load, but the 59.0gr. load was a tad more accurate, giving me 1 inch to 1 1/8 inch groups. I've also had good loads (in my rifle of course) with the following: 56.0gr./IMR4064/WLR/Graf/250BT @ 2475fps & 56.0gr./IMR3031/WLR/Graf/250BT @ 2520fps. Good luck! |

| I've found the 9.3x62 to prefer medium-fast (RL15 being about the slowest) powders with 232 Oryx's and 250 B-Tips. Accurate's XMR2015, 2230-C and the various 4895's have done some good work in my CZ with those bullets. Benchmark, RL10 and I3031 should be top-notch too, just haven't gotten around to trying 'em yet Just read another article in this month's Rifle where the author mentions using '06 brass to form the cases, but, the base/head dimension of the '06 case is about 0.005+/-" smaller than the 9.3's, so, they'll probably crack there eventually. There's enough good 9.3x62 brass out there now to get some and use it. The Lapua brass I got from Graf's is just superb. Less than 1.5 grain total variation in case weight in 200 cases. |
