I have really enjoyed reading the posts
on this site. I would like to put my 2 cents
in on one subject that has been of untold
help to me. I thought I would share this
for the new reloaders that are out there.

I remember when I started reloading and
was fascinated by the prospect of tailored
loads producing accuracy premiums for my
rifles and pistols, as well as other
ballistic benefits like bullet choice for
specialized applications. This it will
certainly do. It was not long before I
met a 'stool shooter' at the range and had
an opportunity to learn more finess with
handloading. I remember one of his first
questions to me though-- which at the time
seemed to be kind of "out there" and not
near as pertinent as charge weight, powder
choice, bullet weight, etc. "Is that rifle of yours bedded?" No, I replied. "Need to",
he said. I kind of shrugged it off and
continued with my loading trials. Eventually
I learned.

This is one thing I would recommend to all
accuracy oriented shooters -- if you are
craftsman oriented - learn how to bed your
rifles. If not, take them to a gunsmith.
This will pay huge dividends for you. Not
only will proper bedding increase accuracy,
but zero is consistent. Consider proper
bedding part of the cost of your rifle.
Do it before you head out for that first
range day.

Yep, pretty good advice.

Think of it as a package deal. With the bedding, ammo, etc, all part of the bigger overall package.

One part compliments & enhances the other...
