I am starting to reload for my .41 mag. revolver and am wondering do I need to crimp my loads? Up till now all my reloading has been for rifles and I only crimped for my lever guns that were tube fed.

Definitely crimp the shells for that Magnum revolver. A tight crimp in the cannelure, preferably as a separate operation after seating. I crimp all loads meant for any type of repeater, whether the bullet has a cannelure or not, using a Lee factory crimp die. I don't want any surprises. Best regards, Bill

Jacobite, I crimp both rifle and handgun cartridges. Regarding your .41 Mag I suggest you the heavy crimp.
